Page Size

Paper Source

Specifies whether paper feeds into the printer from the MP Tray, the standard paper cassette unit, or the optional paper cassette unit.

Orientation

Specifies whether the page is printed in portrait or landscape orientation.

Resolution

Specifies the printing resolution.

RITech

Specifies whether to enable the RIT (Resolution Improvement Technology) function.

Toner Save

Specifies whether to save toner. When On is selected, the printer consumes less toner but print quality is reduced.

Reduce

Specifies whether to reduce the print size.

Emphasize Thin Lines

Specifies whether to emphasize thin lines.

Image Correction

Specifies the method for the image correction.

This setting provides standard image correction. Try this first.

If ESC/P or ESC/PS mode is selected, this setting is used when ruled lines are not printed correctly. If ESC/Page mode is selected, this setting is used when a graphical problem occurs by using a printer driver that is not supported.

Top Offset

Adjusts the vertical printing position of the page.

Left Offset

Adjusts the horizontal printing position of the page.

Top Offset B

Adjusts the vertical printing position on the back of the paper when printing on both sides. Use this if the print on the back is not where you expected.

Left Offset B

Adjusts the horizontal printing position on the back of the paper when printing on both sides. Use this if the print on the back is not where you expected.

Continuous

Specifies whether the printer reduces print data of the continuous paper for the single sheet. This item is enabled only when the ESC/PS mode or ESC/P mode is selected.

F15->B4L

Reduces the data from 381 x 279.4 mm (15 x 11 in.) to B4L.

F15->A4L

Reduces the data from 381 x 279.4 mm (15 x 11 in.) to A4L.

F10->A4P

Reduces the data from 254 x 279.4 mm (10 x 11 in.) to A4P.

Character Code

Specifies the character code. This item is enabled only when the software for ESC/P is used.

Kana

Kana code is selected.

Graphic

Extended graphic code is selected.

Paper Source Position

Specifies the position to start printing. This item is enabled only when the software for ESC/P is used.

Country

Specifies the country. Some symbols in the character code table are substituted according to the specified country. This item is enabled only when software for PC-PR201H is used in the ESC/PS mode.

Zero Character

Specifies whether the printer prints a slashed or unslashed zero.

Paper Position

Specifies the horizontal position of the paper. If you select Center, you can also select the offset. When PC-PR201H is selected in the print setting of the application and the sheet feeder is used, select Center. Part of the left and right side may not be printed depending on the margin settings. In that case, enlarge both the left and right margin in the application.

Right Margin

Specifies the right margin. This item is enabled only when the ESC/PS mode or ESC/P mode is selected.

Paper Width

Fits to the width of the printable area.

136 Characters

Sets the width to 136 characters (13.6 in.) If the printable width is smaller than 136 characters, the print data that exceeds the printable area is cut.

Kanji Font

Specifies the font used for Kanji. This item is enabled only when the ESC/PS mode or ESC/P mode is selected.

Carriage Return

Specifies whether the printer performs a carriage-return operation whenever the printing position goes beyond the right margin.

Line Feed

Specifies whether the printer performs a line-feed operation whenever the printing position goes beyond the bottom margin.

CR

Specifies whether only a carriage return (CR) or a carriage return and a line feed (LF) procedure should be carried out.

LF

Specifies whether only a line feed (LF) or a line feed and a carriage return (CR) procedure should be carried out.

FF

Specifies whether only a form feed (FF) or a form feed and a carriage return (CR) procedure should be carried out.

Error Code

Specifies the process for a character that is not in the character code table.

On

Replaces with space.

Off

Ignores.

Font Type

Specifies the priority of the two‐byte font and one‐byte font when the character size ratio of width to height is one to two.

Codes for 80h to 9Fh are interpreted as codes for 00h to 1Fh (control characters).

PS3 Error Sheet

When you select On, the printer prints out an error sheet.

Coloration

Specifies the color printing or black-and-white printing mode.

Image Protect

The printer employs lossy compression when Off is selected. The printer does not employ lossy compression when On is selected. Lossy compression refers to a data compression technique in which some amount of data is lost.

Binary

Specifies the data format. Select On for Binary data and select Off for ASCII data.

Text Detection

When you select On, the text file is converted to a PostScript file when printing. This setting is available only when you select PS3 in the Emulation Menu.

PDF Page Size

Specifies the paper size when you send the PDF file directly from a computer or some other device.
